Editorial 40.1
Dear reader,
We would like to start this editorial by welcoming yet again another generation of students to the bachelor Technical Computer Science and Business & IT (and all related masters). More about the I/O Vivat below.
For those that have been here somewhat longer (or even from the beginning), this edition is the first edition 40th volume of the I/O Vivat, a milestone worth celebrating. The magazine has had quite a renowed history within the association, having been started in the years just after association was founded. During those first years the I/O Vivat was the pinnacle of cooperation with companies, as well as one of the most important communication channels with students and alumni. Technical advances have both been a blessing for the I/O Vivat as the design of the magazine has significantly improved over the years, as well as the initiation of required changes to stay up to date with time (moving to more digital forms of publication). That being said, we hope to cellebrate the I/O Vivat’s 50th birthday in ten years.
About the I/O Vivat: The I/O Vivat is the magazine of study association Inter-Actief. It contains articles about popular science, interesting IT-related companies and columns from the programme director and the board of Inter-Actief among other things. The I/O Vivat is published once every year in physical print (1700 copies for both Inter-Actief as well as alumni association ENIAC), delivered to your doorsteps (this edition). Other editions are shared in a digital (.PDF) format and the articles are published continuously on our digital platform https://ioviv.at). Do not miss any articles by joining our platform by scanning the following QR code!f
This publication contains articles about the cryptocrypto, how AI can help you in becoming a better Pokémon trainer and in generating art and an explanation about the Pareto principle to make you a better investor. Furthermore, we have columns from our Programme Director, the ENIAC board, and the candidate board of Inter-Actief. Look backs on popular activities that were organized by Inter-Actief, such as Pandora and the Hephaestus symposium. We once again give our previous chief editor a podium, allowing him to explain his work on making the web more accessible to everyone for the municipality. Last but not least, we visit the companies Ecare and Prodrive Technologies. Happy reading :).
We thank you for reading the I/O Vivat!
